Our Ecobooster insect frass is a filtered product of insect excrement and exoskeletons. Passed through a 0.2mm screen, the fine powder contains Nitrogen, Potassium, and Phosphorus; it is a natural way to enrich soil health and feed plants.

Ecobooster also contains Chitin which boosts plant immune responses, strengthening plant cell walls making the plant more robust and able to help resist the onset of disease and fungal attacks and aid with damage from pests.

Because Ecobooster insect frass is made entirely from digested plants, it is full of the nutrients that plants require to thrive, plus millions of beneficial microbes from the guts of insects. Furthermore, it contains large quantities of Chitin converted into Chitosan in the soil. This molecule triggers plants' immune systems, causing them to rev up and defend themselves against predators like root-feeding nematodes and disease pathogens in the soil.

Our insects are farmed for human consumption in a climate-controlled environment, using high-quality substrate and fresh vegetables. No pupating inhibitors and/or growth hormones in our frass or other chemicals are involved.

Great for hydroponic and organic gardening, it can be diluted on water (5-10ml of powder) to elevate the plants in-built resistance to pests and disease and increase growth rates and productivity; ensuring a healthy and fruitful crop.

Used Ecobooster's Premium Frass every two or four weeks to protect and improve your plants. The constant presence of Chitin, a naturally occurring molecule found in the shells of crustaceans like lobsters and crabs, as well as the exoskeletons of insects, benefits your plants as it causes them to be fortified from their cell walls. It also makes the plant resistant to powdery mildew, late and early blights, botrytis, certain root rots, and root nematodes. The presence of chitin triggers plants to think that insects are eating them, causing them to build up their cell walls and release natural insect toxins as a defence. 

Apply it foliar as a Compost Tea without the compost - as well, you can combine it with any other compost tea ingredients. Mix the Frass with the liquid and leave it between 2 and 48 hours to allow the microbes' flora to multiply. Apply to leaves, hydroponic substrates, or soil. And always use dechlorinated water. If you are not sure about the chlorine content of your water, leave your tap water to rest for 24 hours before using it.

‍ Just so you know, only make as much as you need, as the diluted mix goes off after a few days.
