ABOUT THE ARTIST:

     Kerimova Elena Aleksandrovna - Born on June 1, 1925, in the city of Kharkov. Graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (1952). Specialty teachers: S. Grigoriev. Painter. Author of portraits, still lifes, landscapes, thematic paintings. The main theme is a working man, including a woman - a worker, a mother. Painting is characterized by an expression of form, a major color scheme, and external decorativeness; for graphics - the use of mixed media, the activity of the form, the search for a monumental style. Expressive in shape and color and ceramic products. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1983). Honored Artist of Azerbaijan (1982). Participated in exhibitions: all-Union, republican, international (since 1946). Personal exhibitions - in Baku (1980), Kyiv (1981). Main works: "Three Mothers" (1970), "The Past" (1971), "Arabian Sand" (1972), "Three Generations" (1975), "June 22, 1941" (1986), "Shepherd N. Safaev" (1961), "May 1945", "Mother", "Father", "Collective Farm Chairman", "Lead Khanum-jan", "Cotton Master F. Mamedov", "poultry C Badalova", "Girl with Pomegranates", "Apple Pickers", "Opened Book", "Pomegranate and Pitchers", "Watermelon and Black Pitcher", "Mirror and Candles", "Tea Roses" (1960-1980s) ), "The Past" (1971), "Arab Sand", "Old Tbilisi" (1972), "Spring" (1975), "Ukrainian Ceramics" (1979). The works are stored in the Azerbaijan Museum of Arts (Baku).
