When the bag is flat it measures 12 inches top to bottom without the strap, 13 inches across, 5 inches deep. It does expand out more when filled. The bag has adjustable straps, front pocket with twist lock her inside has a flap on the inside bottom, as well as a pocket and zipper closure for top of that, side pocket for back. I used this bag one time as my personal bag. I love that the bottom has plastic feet.
