Pair of Henry Maxwell Tall Boot Lasts/Trees in great condition.

Right foot of last has a leather patch.
Both Lasts are in excellent condition for vintage items, as pictured. But please note signs of age as expected with a vintage item.

Each last separates into 4 pieces and has the makers mark "Maxwell London. 8, Dover Street" and brass pull attached.

Henry Maxwell was founded in 1750. It began as a famous spur-maker, thriving on the use of the horse for battle, ceremony, hunting, sport and personal transport. By the early 19th century they were prospering internationally, exhibiting at the 1851 Great Exhibition and they were awarded the first of our many Royal Warrants by King George IV. By the early 20th century they had grown dramatically, supplying boots, shoes and a wide range of riding and hunting accessories across the British Empire from shops in London and Paris.

Today, they still make our fully bespoke boots and shoes in our London workshop for clients across the world.

Riding/Hunting Boots custom made, estimated to be size 9. Please note the right boot has broken stitching and as such these would make a fine display pair but would not be suitable for wear.  Both Boots have been subject to numerous repair and therefore details and patches do not match but show the character and use of the boots.

Provenance: Boots belonged to a master of the Devon & Somerset Staghounds
