This is a fine quality and elegant vintage 20' oriental runner handmade in India by master weavers. It's floral design is based on antique rug designs, and it was hand-knotted with colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Handmade in the 1980s, this runner is made with fine quality wool and a full, dense pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  It is perfect for a long hallway, a dramatic entrance, or a stair runner.  The pattern revolves around a series of central floral medallions, surrounded by intricate floral sprays & bouquets that fill the ivory backdrop. The medallions are wine red with accents in steel blue, hunter green, dusty rose, bright white, sea green, silver, heather gray, periwinkle blue, mauve, powder blue, and countless other soft colors.  The border is the same wine red as the medallions, filled with its own complementary floral and vine pattern in the same beautiful colors.  This runner is slightly imperfect in that it was previously used as a stair runner, and there are ever-so-slight indentations in the pile as a result.  These are almost impossible to see -- last photo has a close up.  The rug is otherwise in mint condition.  Size: 2'6"x19'11" -- please also visit our eBay shop, HafezRugGallery313 for more quality handmade rugs at great value.
