OMG! I have wanted one of these for so long! Even an
in-the-style-of… which these are, and now we have TWO to offer to you!! LUCKY
DAY!!! They are comprised of gorgeous brown leather cushions and headrests,
chrome frames, and black painted steel bases. So, for those of you who may not
know, the original of this Bauhaus style piece of furniture is what has been
dubbed the Le Corbusier LC4 Chaise Lounge. It was originally designed in 1928
by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. The word lounge in
English means “long chair” and this LC4 has been known to be called the relaxing machine. Its curvaceous
lines genuinely take their form from the human body shape which undoubtedly
follows the design edict form
follows function. The long
chair floats loosely on the black steel base and slides up and back
in infinite lounging positions; from reclined for napping to upright for
reading or conversation. This is without question a classic of modern design
and one that is sought after by collectors worldwide. Plus, this design is
included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Although
this is not an original or “official” lounge it is well made and what a cool
statement piece (or two!) to display side by side in your sitting room, family
room, sunroom, or facing the fireplace in the study. Comfort, style, and an
iconic reputation. These LC4 style chaise lounge chairs check all of the
boxes!! Don’t hesitate!! Make these relaxing
machines yours!
