Sega Genesis Triple Bypass 3BP Send-In Installation Service!






WHAT IS THIS?:

  • This is a send-in installation service for the the Sega Genesis Triple Bypass or 3BP. 
  • Triple bypass board is not provided in this listing (Send In service only). Triple bypass boards can be purchased from retrogamerstuff.com or insurrectionindustries.com.  

HOW DOES THIS WORK?:

  • Start by purchasing the services you would like us to perform on your system. 
  • We will then provide you with our shipping information to send your console and mod kit to us here at Retro Digital LLC for the services to be performed. 
  • Once received your system will be tested and thoroughly cleaned removing any dust or debris that may have collected over the years. 
  • We will then install the requested modifications and extensively test everything to ensure proper functionality. 
  • Your system will then be sent back out to you via USPS Priority Mail 1-3 Day.
  • Turnaround time on send in services is generally around one to two weeks. This may be extended if parts need to be ordered. All orders are processed in the order they are received. If you have any questions feel free to reach out any time.


OPTIONAL SERVICES:

  • Full Capacitor Replacement (+$50): Electrolytic capacitors can start to loose their capacity to hold power as time goes by causing a system not to works as intended. Older systems are prone to failing capacitors, and this will cause bad video / sound output and in severe cases, a dead system. Having the capacitors replaced is great preventative maintenance to keep your older system in tip top shape for many years to come. High quality motherboard capacitor kit is included with this service.
  • Ultrasonic Cleaning and Polish (+$25) With this service your console will first be disassembled and ultrasonic cleaned. This removes all of the hidden dirt and dust that a hand cleaning just can't get to. Even a warm soapy bath is nothing compared to the cavitation produced by the thermistors of a medical grade ultrasonic cleaner! After the ultrasonic cleaning the housing will be polished off with an aerospace UV protectant. This restores the plastic's UV protection preventing fading, cracking and discoloration from harmful UV rays while at the same time repelling dirt, dust and stains keeping your system looking better, longer!

    ADDITIONAL NOTES:

    • Initial shipping is your responsibility. Please ship your system with ample packing materials. Additional insurance is also highly recommended. Shipping paid at checkout is how your system will be shipped back to you after the work has been completed.
    • Have a failed installation in need of assistance? We can help! Just send us a message! (additional parts like a new ribbon cable may be required). 
    • All systems are cleaned, thoroughly inspected and stress tested prior to shipping to make sure you are getting the best service possible! 
    • If a system arrives not working as intended (unless otherwise stated) for whatever reason, you will be contacted and notified. Most things can be fixed and arrangements can be made, but in the case of a system that is sent in inoperable condition the system will be returned and you will be refunded minus return shipping costs.
