DESCRIPTION: Here is a pair of mid 19th century Minton porcelain dessert plates. Decorated on a celadon green ground with transfer puce and white cherubs to the centers. The plate to the left the winged cherub holding a bow and arrow (probably Eros) with the quiver on the ground all set in a rural landscape. The plate to the right has a winged cherub seated on the ground opening a bird cage set in a rural landscape. They both have a slightly shaped outer rim with a gilt dentil pattern. These plates that are on a celadon ground are much more uncommon that the plain white ground. Both impressed Minton and an impressed year cypher for 1869. They each have a Mortlocks retailors backstamp and a red painted pattern number A7524 with the other pattern number not so clear.  

SIZE: The dessert plates measures 9 1/8 inches in diameter. One weighs 408 g and the other 442 g making a total weight of 850 g before packing.

CONDITION: There is no chips, cracks or restoration. Both ring well when tapped.
