For your interest the brochure photographs represent the Mk3 Compass that I used to sell in the latter part of the 20th century.

So please do not think that what is in the brochure is exactly what you are being offered. W.F Stanley of Crayford, Essex fully serviced the compass chamber on the old compasses but regrettably they closed down over 20 years ago. At present I do not want to be involved in giving a full service to the compass chamber. I do not vacuum seal or fill with isopropyl alcohol nor supply the tritium nightlights. However I do service the mother of pearl dial, clean/repair case and polish and lacquer. Magnetic North is calibrated.

The brochure photographs are very informative about this amazing compass which I am sure you will find interesting to read. Well over 2000 units were sold to various private individuals including Land Rover, the Arab Emirates and many other companies.

To keep me sane in this mad world I have decided to refurbish these magnificent compasses and offer them on eBay. The price is considerably less than what I was selling them for 20 years ago however they do not have the tritium nightlights etc.
