Komaruya Maiogi Dance Fan
Design:
This vintage fan came from Kyoto's renown fan maker 小丸屋住井 Komaruiya. It is made of sturdy washi paper with natural-lacquered bamboo struts. It is has golden willow branches on a purple background - note that the color is slightly lighter than it appears in some of the photos. It measures about 20” or 51cm from tip to tip when open and is a little over 11” or 29cm long when closed.
