PRODUCT FEATURE

Apochromatic correction and the use of a lens element with an aspherical surface are combined in this compact telephoto lens for high-performance imaging. Two of the five lens elements are made of high-refraction optical glass. Two other lens elements have anomalous partial dispersion. As a result, brilliance and resolution are exemplary, even at full aperture. Peak performance is achieved at full aperture. Vignetting is already minimal with the lens wide open. As a result of the large aperture of f/2 and impressive contrast rendition, it produces a particularly bright viewfinder image that permits very accurate and positive focusing, even in poor light. The nearest focusing distance is 0.7 m (27.5 in), so that subjects as small as 14 x 21 cm (5.5 x 8.25 in) can be explored. Combining this lens with the LEICA APO-EXTENDER-R 2x produces a high-performance tele combination of 180 mm f/4.

Brand New:  Some brand-new lenses may occasionally have a slight amount of micro dust visible inside the lens elements. This is a result of the manufacturing process and will not affect image quality or resolution.

Pre-Owned: As with any vintage lens, a certain amount of internal dust and some light haze may be visible when holding the lens to a strong light source. However, when viewing the lens in normal lighting conditions with the naked eye, there is no visible dust or haze on this lens. This does not affect photo images in anyway. Lenses like this one will generally exhibit the same consistence. Also, sometimes, some micro dust can be attracted to the glass surface, and it can be blown away.

*Scratch on the Glass of a lens: You can feel when you gently run a fingernail across it. A scratch mark if it is deep enough may affect image quality.

*Hairline/cleaning marks on the Glass of a lens: It is only on the coating and cannot be felt. They will not refract light and won’t affect any image quality.

 If we find any discrepancies before packing the item, we will notify a buyer of discrepancies and offer you with the following options:

1.  We will cancel your purchase and issue a full refund if you are no longer interested in the item.

2.  We will offer you a replacement lens with equal value if you prefer to this option.

RETURN POLICY

 The return policy set forth by eBay in 2018 states that certain product categories have unique retail standards and that sellers will be able to offer variations on the new return policy options. Our products are in the category of CAMERAS & PHOTO, and they are included in unique retail standards. Since an item is vintage and previously used, there may be minor discrepancies or oversight in descriptions. We are trying our best to provide you with as much detail as we could.

We only accept a return if an item is significantly different from what is described, however a return can be accepted under the following conditions.

1.     A Buyer falsely reports that an item is damaged or defective, so that he/she can claim a partial or full refund. Most claims are based on damaged focusing and/or aperture rings. In order for us to prevent someone from abusing the return policy, we have added “WARNING” under PRODUCT FEATURE as follows:

“WARNING:  When you are ready to insert the lens into your camera, film or digital, hold the lens barrel (body) and turn the barrel to complete the attachment. DO NOT hold the FOCUSING and/or APERTURE RINGS and force insert the lens to a camera body or an adapter.

Otherwise, the FOCUSING and/or APERTURE RINGS could be snapped off or disengaged from the mechanism, resulting in damage. The repair cost for this kind of damage is very expensive and it is a buyer’s responsibility for the damage repair if this happens.

The condition of the focusing and aperture rings you have purchased is clearly described as being in properly working condition when the lens is listed. Again, we will make a final inspection before we pack a lens for shipping.  I, the owner of this store, will personally inspect the lens and certify that the focus and aperture rings are in properly working condition in the purchase order which is included in the package. Therefore, we will not accept a return of the lens due to the damage caused by careless handling unless a buyer agrees that we will deduct the repair fee from the total refund.

 2.       A buyer intentionally buys an item and uses for his/her short-term project and wants to return for a full refund.  Some buyers try to avoid renting a lens to do their project and instead buy the lens and claim for refund when the project is completed.  We keep all records of buyers on file.

3.       A buyer demands a refund because something he/she is expecting to receive, which was not actually offered in the original listing.

4.       A buyer simply changes his/her mind and wants to cancel the purchase. 

 If a buyer claims a full refund with any of these exclusions, a seller is entitled to deduct certain amount from the purchase price.

 For Exclusion 1 through 3, the amount of deduction is by the type of exclusion stated above.

For Exclusion 4,  the minimum deduction is 5% of your purchase price.
