Vtg EARLY 1900s? DR JIROCH PROOF TREATMENT & DIAGNOSIS FREE CERTIFICATE QUACKERY
I'm venturing a guess this dates in the early 1900's, In 1914 federal authorities found Dr. Jiroch's mailings fraudulent and denied it the use of the mails, those who sent in this 'certificate' were sent a 'free proof of treatment' consisting of two small boxes of tablets , then followed a 'full size treatment', etc., etc.; quite an interesting scam, I found this history on an excerpt of a book "Nostrums and Quackery dated 1921 by Arthur J. Cramp, M.D., Director of the Propeganda Dept. and Bureau of Investigation of the Journal of The American Medical Association
Certificate measures approx. 10" X 6-1/2"
