This listing is for a large hand carved wooden vessel from South Asia, circa early to mid century. This folk art hand carved piece is carved out of a single log and decorated with brass petals and fabric designs. Vessels like this are used to store grains and other foods. It is skillfully crafted and has plenty of rustic charm, making it blend beautifully in a pastoral or country display. It is in rustic antique condition, having had lots of use. It certainly shows age rich patina, with cracks and what appears to be a repair. This unique piece measures approximately 16”high x 10.5” diameter.
