A lovely Art Deco Clock in Burrwood from jeweler H Pidduck & Sons Ltd Hanley.

This is an original Art Deco period piece & not a new modern reproduction. It's a quality item & has bevelled glass to the front.

Loverly Wood, Shape & Form.

It's made from hardwood.

It's 9" long measured at its bottom & just under 6 1/2" tall. It's  2 3/4" thick at its thickest part.

In expected used working condition for an item of this age & nature. The bevelled glass is a little twisted against the chrome front but I think it may have always been like that. I'm sure you could realign it if you wished.  There's also a rears screw that will not tighten as the internal thread is missing. You could put a small nut on the inside. I've always just left it as it is as it only holds the back on & the other 3 screws still hold it in place.

There are two inscriptions on the clock on it's chrome suround.

The one on the top of the chrome says;

"Presented to the Rev W.D. Thomas and Mrs Thomas by the worshipers of the Congleton Congregational Church".

The one on the bottom of the chrome says;

"In affectionate gratitude for their 10 years faithful and loving service - July 1936 -"

I can post it at your own risk however it would be far better & safer for the clock if it could be collected.

Please study the images as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.
