This is a minimalist and sleek 'Blue Heron' wall-mounted sculpture designed by British Columbian First Nations artist Joe Wilson (Coast Salish) and it is made here in Canada. This is a hand-cut steel sculpture which has been powder-coated for protection and colour. It measures 24" x 21".

In stories, Heron appears as a watchman and messenger for Orca pods and is similarly seen as an alarm-raiser for people; a Heron will emit a loud call at the approach of humans. Featuring an elongated neck, tall legs and a long pointed bill, Heron is often depicted blue or grey. The Heron frequently adorns Kwakwaka’wakw masks, and is a crest for some members of the Haida Eagle clan.
