1971 AMC HORNET SC360 Coupe Reserved Parking Fridge Magnet Aluminum Customizable

1971 AMC HORNET SC360 Coupe Aluminum Parking Fridge Magnet The Hornet name goes back to the mid-1950s. Hudson introduced the first Hudson Hornet in 1951. The automaker formed a stock car racing team centered on the car, and the "Fabulous Hudson Hornet" soon became famous for its wins and stock-car title sweeps between 1951 and 1954. A notable addition for 1971 was the SC360 version, a compact 2-door muscle car that was intended as a follow-up to the 1969 SC Rambler. Powered by the AMC's 360 cu in (5.9 L) V8, the SC was distinguished by styled wheels, body striping, individual fully reclining front seats as well as other performance and appearance upgrades. In standard form, with two-barrel carburetor, the 360 produced 245 hp and was priced at just US$2,663 (about $40 below the 1971 Plymouth Duster 340). A Go-Package was offered as optional equipment and included a four-barrel carburetor, Ram-Air induction system, Handling Package, tachometer, Polyglass white letter tires, and dual exhaust. Visual exterior modifications included a wide hood scoop with black-out paint treatment. Although the SC/360 could not compete with the holdover big-engined muscle cars, the SC combined respectable quickness. American Motors originally planned to build as many as 10,000 of the cars, but high insurance premiums killed the SC/360 after a single year's production of just 784 examples. A total of 304 were built with the now-preferred combination of a 4-speed manual transmission and a 4-barrel carburetor. Perfect for all car enthusiasts that want to show their passion for their 1971 AMC HORNET SC360 Coupe. Make room on the fridge and make it clear: Your 1971 AMC HORNET SC360 Coupe deserves a reserved parking spot in the middle of the other magnets. The magnet is 2” x 3” (77 x 51 mm) and is quality made of .045” Aluminum that will not fade or break. It has rounded corner and a 1/2 inch square magnet in the back. Stick it to anything you'll like, on your fridge, workbench, toolbox, or man cave board. The colors are brights, vibrants and contrast beautifully. For any car guy, this is the ideal gift to add style and show their pride, even in the middle of the kitchen.
