-How to make Yaki-imo-
Wash the surface of sweet potatoes with water. Lightly wipe off the water and put directly into the pot with a little space between. Cover and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Uncover and turn over once while checking the condition of the sweet potatoes. At this time, the body is hot, so be sure to use mittens. Then, finish cooking over low heat with the lid on for about 15~20 minutes. Delicious baked sweet potatoes are ready!
Cooking time varies slightly depending on the size of the sweet potatoes and the heat level. (For a rough estimate of the cooking time, use a bamboo skewer to judge the state of the sweet potatoes.
-How to make roasted chestnuts-
Make sure to cut a slit in the shell of the chestnut because the shell expands when heated and may bounce around in the pan. Soaking chestnuts in water overnight makes it easier to remove the astringent skin and saves time.
Put the chestnuts in the pot and cook over medium-high heat for about 10~20 minutes. When steam comes out and you can smell the aroma of chestnuts, it is a sign that the chestnuts are ready. Turn off the heat and steam well, then the delicious roasted chestnuts are ready.
You can also enjoy it with corn, potatoes, etc. as well.
