3 Print Combo of Classic Framed Currier & Ives Reproduction Prints
Good Display Appeal with Strong Colors, but some moderate wear
Approx: 12.75"x 9.75" Framed, 12"x9" Prints
"MAPLE SUGARING", "THE OLD FORD BRIDGE", "THE ROADSIDE MILL"
Circa 1950's-1960's, Dreft Company Promotional

Note: Sale is for the 3 smaller 12"x9" prints in photo gallery only, NOT the big print in background of some pictures. That one is not for sale, but was used for scale reference and is where we photograph much of our artwork & prints.

These 3 medium sized (12"x9") Currier & Ives reproduction prints are perfect for a budgeted collector or decorator looking for some vintage pop!  All the look of classic Currier & Ives, but at a good price.  "MAPLE SUGARING", "THE OLD FORD BRIDGE" & "THE ROADSIDE MILL" are all known classics from Currier & Ives.  These were framed over 55 years ago and we made no attempt to remove backing or other, we just dusted them off and left as we acquired them.  There is some water staining at bottom of THE ROADSIDE MILL & THE OLD FORD BRIDGE, but MAPLE SUGARING is pretty clean as shown in picture gallery, but for a decorator the staining almost adds to their charm.

We have seen these exact issued prints sell for $80 and up on eBay and other in varying conditions, but most do not know the background of the prints. Some may have bought them thinking them to be original or much older.  These were issued in the 1950's or 1960's by the Dreft Detergent Company (not sure who actually published them) as promotional pieces from what we can gather, so the higher priced sales usually did not have much provenance information when listed for sale.  These were very well done and good representations of the original prints in size, color, labeling and other and that may be why some have sold higher and why many were framed for decorating homes.  These do have tanning from age and they have some moderate water staining as shown in pictures.  We tried to photograph the prints in a couple different light settings to capture the overall looks. They are framed behind glass.  Frames are solid with some wear from age.  We tried to price these relative to actual value and appeal with no pretense that they are other than reproductions, but nice ones.

We obtained these & other C&I works from an extensive antique & art collector's estate.  He had lots of high end art, but also loved the old Curried & Ives prints, both originals & vintage reproductions like these. If you are a collector, these make great mid sized compliments to any room or if you happen to have larger prints matching these at home.  The prints are as appears in pictures.

Please Note: We photograph artwork in different light settings to try and capture a painting, sculpture or other artwork's look in different settings.  Therefore there may be some variations in color from one picture to another.  The photos are not altered, but may have been photographed in a brighter room, with natural light, a flash feature or other.  Also, we try to note any visible defects we can see but there may be wear or imperfections we miss.  Please view all pictures taken for your consideration and use zoom feature if needed.  Likewise, you can always notify us with questions.

Please Read: See our Feedback & Buy with confidence.  We ship with extreme care and all items are fully insured!  We often take from 30-90 minutes packing more delicate & odd sized items to make sure your treasure is protected.  We also photograph most items above $100 while packing in case a shipper were to ever damage an item (only 1  time in over 2,000 US shipped sales).  For this reason, if an item is ever damaged, it will be the Buyer's responsibility to file a claim with the shipping service and we can provide photos from packing to assist Buyers.  The process is not difficult, but the timing of such does not allow adequate time for the item to be returned to us and then for us to proceed with a claim (chain of custody questions can arise as well on returned items due to double shipping and handling so it is just easier for Buyers).  So again, as noted in listing, we do not offer returns.  Sales tax is charged according to your state or country's regulations.  Of course, there is free local pick up and we can meet to assist if you are near Indianapolis or driving through.  We do this often.

All items above $100 will require signature upon delivery unless you request otherwise, so please plan accordingly.  We do not charge extra for it.  If you do not want signature at delivery, we can make an exception, but be aware if an item's tracking number  shows items is delivered but it is stolen or goes missing from your location (porch, lobby or other)  FedEx & Others will not insure package and you will be responsible for loss.  Some services are beginning to require signature on items above $500-$700 as well.  Also, we have discounts with FedEx & eBay on shipping which do not always show up in eBay estimates on shipping. We try to refund what we can when there is a notable difference, but we do not know until we actually process the shipping order.
