Can I use normal salt to rear Artemia?

In principle, iodine-free salt can be used for rearing. However, the composition of HOBBY Artemia salt corresponds exactly to the salt water in the region of origin of the Artemia. It also contains traces of plankton for feeding the hatched nauplii. According to scientific knowledge, the best hatching is achieved with HOBBY Artemia Salt.

Why are my artemia nauplii dying?

There are numerous reasons for the death of artemia nauplii depending on the quality or Strain on the water used, the quality and quantity of the feed given, hygiene during rearing and the use of suitable rearing vessels. We recommend the specialist book "Artemia - Der Urzeitkrebs" by Oliver Drewes from VIVARIA Verlag. The book describes, illustrated with numerous microscope images and drawings, the seven recognized Artemia species according to the current state of knowledge. After describing the special reproductive biology, the most successful rearing systems are presented. A separate chapter "Artemia in aquaristics" provides practical tips, for example to increase the hatching rate and the survival rate of nauplii and artemia.

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period is 14 days from the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods or Has.

In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail).

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication regarding your exercise of the right of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.

Consequences of revocation

For this repayment, we use the same means of payment that you used in the original transaction, unless something else was expressly agreed with you; under no circumstances will you be charged for these repayment fees. We may refuse repayment until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier.

You must return or hand over the goods to us immediately and in any case no later than 14 days from the day on which you inform us of the cancellation of this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
