Introduction

This is the same tube as the standard EHX 12AU7 with a few big differences. The pins are plated with gold to prevent corrosion and to protect the pins. The pins will last for life. EHX also selects the best tubes (well balanced, best test data etc) for their gold line. Built around the original GE 6189, this is a low microphonic and industrial grade 12AU7. This tube has a very clear and warm sound and was built to last. This is a very linear tube which sounds great at any volume or in really any amplifier. A very versatile and affordable workhorse tube. The 12AU7 is interchangeable with a variety of tubes including the ECC82, 6189 and E82CC.
