We are delighted to offer this Korean porcelain jar of distinctive proportions. It features Maebyong form of high, rounded shoulders above a tall body that tapers inward toward the flared foot. The upright neck shows a slightly inverted curve and completed by a rounded rim. The vessel is finished with an undecorated white glaze with celadon tint that exhibits a greenish cast. Fine glaze crackles cover the surface. Made for use in storing liquids, perhaps wine or liquor. It measures approximately 17.5” high x 7” diameter and shows impressive patina from years of use. Old glaze chips are found on the rim and base, indicators of its time worn beauty. Residue of kiln grit is evident on the base.

We appreciate your careful review of the photos as they tell so much more than we can articulate; and ask that you zoom in for a closer look at any and all condition issues.
