Condition:

This piece was purchased in Paris around 1990,from a specialist dealer in Belle Époque furnishings. It had undergone full restoration, the Bronze mounts with traditional mercurial gilding and expensive gilt tooled hide fitted to shaped top.

It was used in our home in England, then bought with us to Sicily ten years ago where it has remained in store.

There is no damage or repairs the colour of the veneers has faded slightly over time. Signs of usage can be seen to Ormolu boarder around the top and to the leather writing surface.Further images available.
