Vintage GIOTTO Exotic Woods Tray by MEMPHIS Designer GEORGE SOWDEN

This is new, and never used, but was a showroom’s sample, so it has scratches as shown. It is 20" x 11-1/2". Comes with a GIOTTO catalog.

GIOTTO was a short lived company founded by Mr. Ettore Sottsass with the intention of mass producing Italian design in Asia. Although only 6 samples of these were ever made, they were not meant to be a limited edition. These were meant to go into production, but the company folded before that, so all that were produced were 6 pieces. So they are not numbered. This is new, never used, but was made in the 1990s and may show its age. We had to list this under eBay’s “1980s Category” as this was the closest Category available, but It is from the 1990s.
