Vintage Lord & Taylor The Millennium Snow Globe

Plays "Auld Lang Syne"

Lord & Taylor, founded in 1826 by Samuel Lord & George Washington Taylor, had a long and storied history as one of America’s finest department stores. From its groundbreaking hiring of Dorothy Shaver as the first woman to head up a department store; to the iconic holiday windows which inspired Christmas awe and wonder in generations of New Yorkers, Lord & Taylor was truly “The Signature of American Style.”  Sadly, it spent its final years bouncing from owner to owner until the pandemic put the final nail in its coffin.

This vintage Lord & Taylor Snow Globe dates from 1999 and plays the song “Auld Lang Syne.”  1900, 1925, 1950 & 2000 are etched on the base while a carousel rotates depicting scenes from the 20th century. The snow globe is in good cosmetic condition but makes a clicking sound while playing.  It stands approximately 7 inches high and 5 inches wide.
