This item is a Dessert or Canape Plate made by Burgess & Leigh Ltd. It has bright colors and a very glossy finish. The Dessert Plate is part of the series "Scenes of Olde English Customs as recorded from the Seventeenth Century and reproduced by Burgess & Leigh Ltd of Staffordshire England." The backstamp includes that information and "Fondeville, England." This Plate is titled "The Drunkard's Cloak." It measures about 6 inches in diameter. There is some light crazing on the front and back (you have to look closely to see it). Otherwise this vintage Dessert or Canape Plate is in Very Good condition!
