TAB Books, known for publishing magazines in the early 20th century, published a series of children's books for Scholastic Book Club, which was a children's book club lead by teachers or librarians where members met monthly and selected a minimum order of 15 children's books per month.  The publisher was successful in generating volume orders.  This book was a second printing in December 1959, the first printing was in October of that same year.  The book itself is in remarkable condition considering its age and the type of paper used.  Most TAB Books did not survive long enough to be kept, let alone stored for decades.  This copy is one of the lucky ones and has been priced accordingly.
