Description:  These beads have been in storage over ten years; inventory old-stock never used. These gems have characteristics typical of natural stones: occlusions, rifts, striations, and surface texture anomalies. 

Wear: Slight signs of wear are considered typical for authentic vintage pieces, such as light surface scratches or patina. This type of normal wear attests to an item's age and adds to its vintage charm and character.  Many "old stock" stones are now considered rare or hard to obtain because of their quality and/or origin.

I bought these to use them as jewelry findings/clasps and never incorporated them into a design. I bought them over 15 years ago from another artisan and they were already vintage when I got them. They have been carefully tucked away in my storage ever since. I believe these to be a high quality pewter alloy but they have not been tested for metal content.
