Bob Jackson Frameset of Leeds England Frame Fork Reynolds 653 531 Campagnolo.

This is a beautiful Bob Jackson frameset made in the 1980’s of Reynolds 653. The fork decals remain but the frame decal is long gone. ( It was placed where the frame pump would rub on it.).  My understanding is that the 653 tubeset was a particularly lightweight combination of 531 tubes.

Campagnolo dropouts. Rear triangle has been spread from 126mm to accommodate 130mm hubs

There are a number of places on the forks and stays where the paint has flaked off to reveal the chrome underneath. No dents.

The Bob Jackson Cycle works of Leeds England is famous for the quality and beauty of their frames.

This is a 22.5 inch frame (58cm) with head angle in the 73 to 74 degree range. Wheelbase is about 99CM. Uses short reach brakes with inset nuts. I’ve used up to 700x28mm tires on it. Uses 27.2mm seat posts which is standard for bikes made of high quality lightweight tubing.  Seat tube 22.5” center to top.  Top tube 22” center to center. Chainstay 40cm.

It is a beautiful classic road racing frame that rides smooth with quick handling for any fast riding.

The Original Campagnolo headset is still in good condition.
