 DESCRIPTION:
Offered for your review and consideration is this estate fresh, very well-preserved, wonderful William W. Williams, the Country Cooper, staved yellow pine hardwood, handmade wooden serving bowl, used for the table presentation of prepared artisan salads, a variety of chips, fruit or for rising bread dough, when covered by a damp cloth over its top. The staved wooden sidewalls have no split seams and the solid plank wooden floor's also not separated from its staved wood, sloped sidewalls. What's perhaps most noticeable and immediately recognizable, are the two exaggerated wooden side arms that rise contiguously on each side of the bowl and part of the staved wooden pieces used to make up the bowl's form. The handles are reminiscent of much earlier American primitive wooden wash basins but also borrowing from later, mid-20th century Scandinavian woodenware salad and presentation bowls. The wooden surfaces were originally lightly lacquered. There are no noticeable, significant scuffs, deep surface abrasions, stains (light or dark,) discoloration, edge flea-bites or wood loss on its sidewalls, handles or floor. Very handsome. What are you serving your favorite artisan salads to your family and friends in? You'll most likely be the only one in your zip code with one.

 CONDITION:
Very Good to Excellent overall vintage condition.
