The people of the "New World" developed technology at a different rate than the rest of the world. Roughly speaking, between 13,500 to 7,900 years ago was a paleolithic period. Spears dominated, and ultimately atlatls appeared. Fluted points were made during this period, although not all points were fluted. What is known as the Archaic Peiod followed, it occured between 9,000 to 500 years ago. A variety of stemmed and notched points were made, fluting disappearing entirely. The Historic, or Modern Era covers the period from now, going back maybe a thosand years. During this time native people imitated in stone, the triangular metal points used by the invading Europeans. This set features a point made in each of these styles.

I make all of the points I sell. I use a mix of modern and traditional techniques, and whenever possible use stone and obsidian that I have personally collected.
