After their debut album ''Przeddzie?'', released two years ago, the four Poles ODIUM HUMANI GENERIS follow up with a successful EP called ''Zarzewie'' in 2022, which is half an hour long and thus offers real added value. So far, the band from Lodz is still quite unknown, but that should change if the guys continue like this. ODIUM HUMANI GENERIS are up to their necks in Norway of the early and middle nineties. The production is smooth and pleasant, the performance tight and raw at the same time, the songwriting coherent and full of homages to the classics. Those who focus their home record collection predominantly on the criteria of black metal and quality should look for ODIUM HUMANI GENERIS?s CD ''Zarzewie'' in the near future. The EP doesn't fundamentally redefine the genre, but that doesn't matter. Nevertheless, you should definitely copy it onto the B-side of your beloved EMPEROR, DARKTHRONE, SATYRICON tape for your next autumn walks and lose yourself in the atmosphere, which is actually much more romantic than the aggressive band name for Misanthropy would have you believe.
