Vintage open ended large Spanner

A nice clean  example of a very large and heavy Whitworth Spanner 

The spanner measures 14-1/2" from end to end.

It weighs 3lb-2oz or 1419 grams.

The gaps between the jaws is 33.68 mm & 38.4mm.

The thickness of the metal at the jaws is 18 mm to 19mm

The tool has a nice finnish to it, it has been cleaned just enough to clean off any surface grime.

When any of my items are cleaned i can honestly say that i do not use any abrasive papers or wheels to clean my tools.

The tools are finished off on a very large buffing machine with a good quality polishing compound and a sisel buffing wheel.

The spanner has the sizes cast into the surface of the metal, its not the clearest size stamp i have ever seen

I not sure how old this item is

Both ends look clean and free from damage, the tool does not look to have been missed used.

There are a few blemishes on the surface of the steel that could not be cleaned off.
