Large Portmeirion Water Jug No 1, commemorating The 1866 UK to USA Cable Telegraph. This jug was originally produced in 1866 to commemorate the linking of Great Britain and America via the transatlantic telegraph cable. The design was revived in the 1960's and 70's. (This jug is a reproduction from that period.)

In very good vintage condition with no chips cracks or other damage. Some age-related minor crazing.

21.5 cm / 8.5" spout to handle

14 cm / 5.5" diameter at base
