Description: This auction is for a wooden vise screw and Nut made from solid Maple. This screw is made using a thread angle of 45 degrees, which is stronger than the 60 degree thread found on most modern screws. This screw is modeled off of a screw I own that came out of my dad's barn that was made in about 1810, and after more than 200 years of regular use on a farm still works great! The hub is 3.5" diameter by 4.5" long with a hole drilled for a 1" handle. The Screw Diameter is 2.5", and is threaded at 2 threads per inch. The total length is 23 inches There is an internal and external garter slot each are 1/4" wide. The Nut is 8" x 3 3/4 x 1 1/2" (minimum) with the hole centered. The handle is 12" long. If you receive the screw and are not happy with it you can return it for a full refund! I can make a screw any that's diameter and any thread per inch count. I can leave the turning stub on and leave the hub blank so you can customize the screw. I can tap your bench legs, or provide a tapped leg and screw. I can make a screw out of almost any material. Just contact me with the details of what you would like and I'll set up an auction for you, with your custom screw. Payments: -I only ship once payment clears.
