A beautiful Japanese cloisonné vase in a soft pastel green enamel with a large orchid above vibrant green leaves.

With silver plate rims to the top and the bottom dating from the early to mid part of the Showa reign (1926-1989).

Stamped with the Ando dai.. Ando Jubei (1876–1956) was a Japanese cloisonné artist from Nagoya, Japan. Along with Hayashi Kodenji, he dominated Nagoya’s enamelling industry in the late Meiji era and continued to do so into the Showa reign.

In fantastic condition and displays brilliantly.
