Antique Cast Bronze Door Internal Slide Bolts

Rare, heavy-duty, antique flushbolt salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. The set consists of a bronze activator, a steel rod with a bronze-plated steel bolt on one end, and a bronze guide plate to install on either the top or bottom of your door. All bronze parts are made of solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze.

If you are not familiar with this type of hardware, it's the locking mechanism installed on one of the doors in a pair of double doors, for the purpose of keeping one door stationary, while allowing the other to swing freely

The activator plate is unusually large. Normally this type of hardware doesn't draw much attention once installed on a door, but this piece is exceptional. It will definitely become a focal point of any door that its installed on.

We found the piece unpainted and with little patina.

All parts have small nicks and subtle scrapes, which are typical for pieces this old. However, there are no breaks, gouges, or cracks. The spring behind the lever is strong, and won't allow gravity or a bump to retract the bolt once its extended. All parts are strong and ready for another lifetime of service.
