The Greek Death/Thrash Metallers RAPTURE from Athen, founded in 2012, have released two EPs and a split before their second studio album ''Paroxysm Of Hatred'' in 2018. This 8 tracks now immediately bring back the old school feeling of the debut ''Crimes Against Humanity'' and EXHORDER involuntarily come to mind, because RAPTURE are so raw and fast like the New Orleans boys. The arrangements are really catchy and the sound blows through the speakers. It's teeming with quotes from well-known acts, which are mixed into a very energetic and brutal cocktail of their own. The guitars race from one riff to the next in the style of SADUS or DARK ANGEL. The whole thing is garnished with nasty screaming solos. If you like the tough mixture of Death- and Thrash Metal and you like the above mentioned groups, you will get an album without failures. The quality is high and offers the listener exactly what you want to hear from such a band. Namely hard, fast and brutal stuff. Cheers!
