Collings D-1A Traditional Torrefied Adirondack Spruce

Description

As a high-end acoustic guitar maker, Collings is loved by amateurs and professionals all over the world. In particular, the Dreadnought model, which is an arrangement of the pre-war model, is extremely popular.
A model that can be said to be the true hit of vintage replica models from Collings is the TraditionalSeries.
This instrument is a USED product of D-1ATraditional (TorrefiedAdirondackSpruce), a model with a Torrefied Adirondack Spruce option.

Top Trified Adirondack Spruce
side back honduras mahogany
Neck Honduras mahogany (adjustable rod)
fingerboard ebony
bridge ebony
peg waverley
Others 42.9mm nut, 647.7mm scale, original vintage style case included.
Animal glue is used for adhesion, and the painting is an ultra-thin nitrocellulose all-lacquer finish.

The regular model also has a great tone, but the ultra-thin lacquer finish gives it unimaginable dynamics and response, and the bracing and tonewoods are adjusted to just the right weight and thickness for quick attack and powerful resonance. Warm and rounded highs and low midranges both produce a characterful sound. (*The regular model also has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, but the base coat is different.)
Completeness that makes you wonder if there is anything more you want. It's definitely the pinnacle of vintage homage models.
In addition, the method of reproducing the vintage texture by changing the cell structure of the wood through torphid processing and heat treatment makes this model even more attractive. The darkly burnt top is very astringent.
There are almost no noticeable scratches, and it is in excellent condition. In addition, the nut width is 42.9mm, and 44.5mm is wide, so it is recommended for players who are a little bit wide!

talksabout "Traditional Series"
In the early to mid 70's, I was thinking about how I could make something that would hold up better than any of the repair guitars that came my way. I wanted to make a powerful, loud guitar that would last 100 years. The result was a quick attack and a glittering brilliance, so that even if you play a little, it would bounce back even more. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, or because I've learned a lot about old guitars building Waterloo, but what I listen to now is different. I wondered if we could create something a little different, something warmer and more rounded. The new model has more fundamentals and will take you to places you've never been before.
