Unworn おき宗 Okiso of Shinsaibashi Zori
This lovely pair of vintage zori were made by Osaka’s iconic Okiso of Shinsaibashi. They have been stored for a very long time but are in perfect, never-worn condition with the original tag still attached. They have multi-color sides and straps with black patent leather tops; all leather soles. Superior quality for someone who wants really nice ones!
Size: 23.5cm. Okiso is sadly, like so many other fine traditional footwear stores, no longer in business.
Note… the size of footwear in Japan is considered largely irrelevant as traditionally there was only one mens size and one womens size and you adjust your foot to the sandal rather than the sandal to your foot; so overhanging the heel by an inch or so is considered normal and even optimal…
