HERE IS THE (1.) THING YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE NOT DOING...

OUR OE FUEL PUMP IS COMPAITABLE WITH UP TO 10% (E-10) OF ETHANOL BUT....IT IS BEST TO USE FUEL WITH NO ETHANOL IN IT!!
QUESTION: WANT TO DOUBLE OR MORE LIKE TRIPLE THE LIFE OF YOUR FUEL PUMP?ANSWER: THEN STOP USING FUEL WITH ANY ETHANOL IN IT!
THEY WILL NEVER TELL YOU THIS BUTETHANOL EATS AWAY AT THIN RUBBER AND THIN PLASTIC.YOUR SMALL ENGINE WAS NOT MADE TO HAVE THAT FUEL WITH ETHANOL RAN THRU IT.ALSO NOT MADE FOR THE FUEL PUMP TO HAVE IT RAN THRU IT!!!ETHANOL WILL EVENTUALLY START EATTING AWAY AT YOUR CARBURETOR COMPONETS AS WELL, LIKE THE NEEDLE SEAT AND BOWL GASKET!!!THERE ARE FUEL STATIONS OUT THERE THAT SELL GASOLINE WITH NO ETHANOL IN IT.SHELL FUEL STATIONS OF 91 OR 93 V-POWER OCTANE IS A GOOD PLACE TO START.THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE LIKE STANDARD OIL, AMACO AND CHEVRON FUEL STATIONS JUST TO NAME A FEW, AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS. LOOK AT THE PUMP HANDEL! IT SHOWS RIGHT ON THE HANDEL AS TO IF IT IS E-10, E-15, E-30 OR E-85. E-85 IS JUST WHAT IT MEANS! 85% ETHANOL!!!!YOUR FUEL PUMP WONT LAST BUT A COUPLE OF
MONTHS AT MOST IF YOU PUT THAT E-85 IN IT!!!

HERE IS THE NUMBER (2.) THING...
WATCH OUT FOR THE CHINA LOOK-A-LIKE FUEL PUMPS OUT THERE!

THERE ARE FUEL PUMPS OUT THERE THAT LOOK ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE OE ONE YOU SEE HERE FOR YOUR ENGINE.THEM DEFECTIVE FAKES WILL NOT WORK RIGHT AND WE SERIOUSLY MEAN THAT MOST DO NOT EVEN WORK AT ALL!!! LOOK AT THE PHOTOS TO SEE WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT OF THEIR INTERNAL COMPONETS.THEIR DIAPHRAGM IS MADE OF SOMEWEIRD THIN RUBBER LAYER OVER BOTH SIDES OF WHAT LOOKS TO BE LIKE A WIRE MESH SCREEN! VERY ODD! IT HAS NO GIVE TO IT LIKE A RUBBER DIAPHRAGM DOES. IT IS JUST ALL AROUND MADE WRONG!
1. THE DIAPRAGM IS THIN AND TOO SMALL AROUND WHERE IT DOES NOT WANT TO SIT INTO THE RESSESED AREA WHERE IT IS SUPOSED TO. IF IT IS TOO TIGHT THEN HOW IS IT (THE DIAPHRAGM) SUPOSSED TOFLUCTUATE BACK AND FORTH TO PUMP THE FUEL! WE CANNOT SEE WHERE IT CAN!I MEAN....... MAYBEY LITTLE TINY MOVEMENTS BUT NOW YOUR TALKING ABOUT A LOT OF WEAR AND TEAR ON THE STARTER MOTOR WITH ALL THE CRANKING!

2. EVEN THE BRASS BREATHER VENT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE IT ALLOWS ACTUAL AIR TO PASS BACK AND FORTH THROUGH IT!THIS IS A MUST FOR THE dIAPHRAGM TO BE ABLE TO MAKE THE MOVEMENT IT NEEDS TO PUMP THE FUEL.EVEN THE VALVES IN IT ARE MADE OF PLASTIC AND NOT RUBBER! HOW IS THIN PLASTIC SUPOSSED TO SEAL UP AGAINST PLASTIC? IT WONT! THIS WILL CAUSE THE FUEL TO SEEP BACK TOWARDS THE FUEL TANK. SPECIALLY IF THE FUEL TANK IS LOCATED AT A LOWER LEVEL UNDER THAT OF THE ENGINE LIKE UNDER THE SEAT OF A TRACTOR. THUS EVERY TIME YOU SHUT YOUR ENGINE DOWN, YOU WILL HAVE TO ALMOST CHOKE THE CARBURETOR TO GET THE ENGINE TO FIRE BACK UP!
3. THE MATERIAL THAT WE SEEN THAT THEY USED TO MAKE THE DIAPHRAGM IS NOT MADE OF THICK RUBBER. THAT MATERIAL DOES NOT STRETCH AT ALL! IT IS LIKE A THIN LAYER OF RUBBER SPRAYED OUT OVER BOTH SIDES OF A SCREEN WIRE MESH!EVEN THE SPRING THEY USED TO PUSH THE DIAPHRAGM BACK WAS MADE TOO STIFF SO THAT IT WILL NOT ALLOW THE ENGINES PISTON TO MAKE THE MOVEMENT OF WHAT THE DIAPHRAGM NEEDS TO PUMP THE FUEL!!!
IT IS AS IF THEY HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT THE PURPOSE IS OF THIS UNIT OR DO THEY?OH! BUT NOW THERE IS A THOUGHT!!MAYBE THEY ARE MADE THIS WAY ON PURPOSE TO MAKE OTHER COMPONETS / PARTS TO FAIL QUICKLY! LIKE THE STARTER MOTOR TO WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME?MAYBE TO GET YOU ALL TO BUY THEIR CHEAPER JUNK STARTER MOTOR THAT NEEDS REPLACED SHORTLY AFTER THE WARRENTY RUNS OUT?PRETTY SMART IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT! MAYBE ALL ON PURPOSE SO THAT THEY CAN CONTINUE TO DRAIN THE FUNDS OF YOUR WALLET!

MAYBE THEY ARE SMARTER THAN WE ALL GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR!

AGAIN!, LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PHOTOS OF THIS LISTING!
THAT FAKE FUEL PUMP YOU SEE IN THE LAST FEW PHOTOS WAS FROM SOMEONE WHO BOUGHT/MADE A PRIOR PURCHASE ELSWHERE AND THEN FOUND IT TO NOT WORK.THEY THEN MADE A PURCHASE FROM US AND TRIED TO DO A RETURN OF THE FAKE ONE TO US TO GET THE LARGER REFUND. LITTLE DID THEY KNOW THAT TO THE TRAINED EYE THERE IS A TINY DIFFERENCE FROM OUR OE ONE AND THE FAKE ONES THAT WE CANNOT SHOW BECAUSE THEN, THEY WILL ONLY TRY TO MAKE THAT LITTLE CORRECTION IN THE FUTURE TO WHERE IT WILLMAKE IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT FOR US TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE FROM THE OE ONE TO THE FAKE ONE WITHOUT TAKING IT APART!
AS FOR THEM, THEY WERE REPORTED, THERE WAS NO REFUND GIVEN AND THEY WERE THEN BLOCKED FROM EVER TRYING TO MAKE ANY FUTURE PURCHASES FROM US AGAIN!
THIS OE FUEL PUMP....

THAT YOU SEE HERE IN THE FIRST FEW PHOTOS IS THE POLY RESIN FIBER (NOT CHEAP PLASTIC) FUEL PUMP WITH A THICKER (NOT THIN) PIT LINER RUBBER DIAPHRAGM THAT IS SERVICEABLE. MADE TO WHERE YOU CAN CAREFULLY TAKE IT APART TO CLEAN IT IF NEEDED.
THIS ALSO COMES WITH TINY RUBBER CAPS COVERING THE INLET, OUTLET AND VACUUM PORTS TO KEEP INSECTS FROM GETTING INSIDE AND RUINING THE DIAPHRAGM DURING STORAGE.
THAT IS JUST ANOTHER PREVENTATIVE MEASURE TAKEN SO THAT OUR CUSTOMERS KNOW THAT THEY WILL RECEIVE A WORRY-FREE OE FUEL PUMP STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.
THE BOTTOM-LINE IS....
HAS CHINA MADE ANYTHING AT ALL TO LAST OR TO BENIFIT ANY OF US HERE IN THE USA? THE ONLY REAL CONTRIBUTION THEY HAVE MADE TO THIS COUNTRY IS OF THEIR JUNK BEING PUT IN OUR LANDFILLS!!!
THE OE FUEL PUMP!
The OE Fuel Pump is made of a Poly Resin Fiber (Not Cheap Plastic).It has a thicker (Not thin) pit liner diaphragm in it.The valves is made of rubber and not plastic either!This can also be carefully taken apart and cleaned if needed.This also comes with tiny rubber caps over the Fuel Inlet, Fuel Outlet and Vacuum Port to keep insects from getting inside and ruining the diaphragm during storage.
This is just another preventative measure so you know that you will receive a worry-free OE fuel pump straight out of the box.

The best installation procedure!
This should always be assembled in this order on just about everything...CLEAR PVC fuel line from tank to sediment bowl, to good quality fuel filter, to fuel pump and then to carb.
If You have a sediment bowl, then you should use it!!!

If it is at all possible (on anything that your engine is on) then mount a sediment bowl, anywhere after the fuel tank where You can visibly see it because this will help catch that unwanted water that seems to always find its way into your gasoline can. This is mostly caused from the fuel stations not removing the condensation soon enough from their tanks that are in the ground!A sediment bowl will keep the water from getting into your carburetor, filter and pump. This is because water is heavier than gasoline and you will see it in the sediment glass bowl. it is very simple to unscrew the glass from the sediment shut off valve, empty it and reassemble it.
