For auction is a candlestick made by The Rookwood Pottery Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a wonderful pattern for a chamber stick. It has an Arts and Crafts flair to it. The candlestick is a nice cabinet size as it measures 2 3/4" tall and the bottom of the candlestick is 4" in diameter.

The candlestick displays a pedestal shape with 2 applied scrolled buttress handles. The candlestick starts out on a round platform with a short center column. There is an applied bobeche or round platform with the candle cup to receive the candle in the center. On each side of this platform are 2 applied scroll buttressed styled handles attached to the column just under the platform. The candlestick has a wonderful curdled country blue glaze.

This candlestick is in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is signed on the bottom with Rookwood's " reverse RP and sunburst logo" along with the Roman numerals XXVIII for the year of manufacture, 1928. It also has the mold number "2981" just under the date.

This is a wonderful arts and craft shape candlestick created by Rookwood. Those of you who collect arts and crafts design pottery will surely welcome this vase into their collection. It will look great on any Stickley, Arts & Crafts or Mission style furniture.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.

They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.

If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
