You are bidding on a Rare[Manuscript] undated Bible scroll of the complete book of Esther called "Megillat Esther" hand written on genuine Deer Parchment in the original Hebrew language. This Esther Scroll came from Iraq and is approximately 150-250 years old. It is prized for its beauty of its soft thick parchment and its beautiful writing. The parchment holds its ink and the letters are bright and clear which makes the text easy to read. The scroll has a warm Brown color, this is due to the process used in making the scroll. Scrolls of this type are no longer made and the process for making these distinctive scrolls has been lost over the centuries. Scrolls like these are extremely rare and seldom seen due to age and is important for its rarity of the earliest examples of the Iraqi Jewish tradition of the Hebrew writings. All Sections are sewn together using a thread called giddin which is made from the leg sinews of a kosher animal. The scroll considering its age is Very Well preserved and will stay beautiful with care for centuries to come.
