The biography of John Rudometkin, college and NBA basketball star whose career was cut short by cancer. Rudo played for USC, leading the team to an outright conference title in 1961. Drafted number 11 in the 1962 NBA draft, he played 2 1/2 years for the New York Knicks, then half a year with the San Francisco Warriors before retiring to battle cancer. His cancer went into remission, and he lived until 2015. 

The book includes photos of his family, but also of his playing at USC and in the NBA.
