A superb and rare photo of the all new 1963 Mercury Monterey.

Mercury was founded as an automobile marque by the Ford Motor Company in 1939.  Ford wanted to create a new automobile brand in order to market near-luxury cars slotted between entry-level Ford and luxury Lincoln models, similar to General Motors' Buick (and former Oldsmobile) brand and DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler brand. The Mercury name comes from the "messenger of the gods" of Roman mythology, and during its early years, the Mercury brand was known for performance.

Mercury was its own division at Ford until 1945 when it was combined with Lincoln into the Lincoln-Mercury Division.

This is a very nice and very rare non period photo that reflects a wonderful era of Mercury ‘s automotive history in a wonderful way.  This is your rare chance to own this photo, therefore it is printed in a nice large format of ca. 8" x 10" (ca. 20 cm x 26 cm).  It makes it perfectly suitable for framing.
