The VMO Shepherd’s Crook Bait Tool has been designed to offer extra stability when making up baits.

The design makes it ideal for use with dongle rigs. The crook holds the loop of the dongle allowing you to keep the dongle straight whilst mounting the perfect length and sized bait. Perfect for baits such as crab, bluey & squid or blacks. Once your bait is finished just slip the loop off of the crook and you have the perfect presentation.

It can also be uséd for traditional baiting by laying fiddly/cumbersome baits alongside the hook shank and snood material prior to whipping with bait elastic.
Simply place the point of the hook through the large eye of the tool and steady the hook and trace line alongside. Your bait can now be accurately whipped to the hook and trace line using the straight edge of the tool to ensure that your bait is as attractive and streamlined as possible.
