Product Description:

Fig, aka Anjeer, is the fruit of the fig tree. This fruit is consumed fresh, dried, or canned. Fresh figs contain up to 1.3% protein and 11.2% sugars. Still, when the fruit is dried, the percentage of proteins increases to 3-6%, as well as sugar - up to 40-50%, which gives dried Turkish figs a deep sweet taste and causes a feeling of satiety. However, keep in mind that dried fruits' calorie content goes up as well, and you might want to plan intake according to your diet.

Also, Dried figs fruit is rich in vitamins and minerals, especially potassium, which is equal to the content in dates. Don't get too excited, though; everything is good in moderation. Although there are no known allergies to this fruit, you might want to consult your nutritionist on what is the right amount for you.

Delicious Taste and Various Use

Dried Turkish figs' taste is sweet and nutty. Their outer shell is a bit chewy, but inside they are soft and crunchy. It's used in different dishes, mainly in desserts, cakes, cookies, and other sweets. Our favorite is to have it right out of the pack to indulge in delightful flavor.

Dried Figs Storage

Dried figs should be stored in a cool and dry place. While they will not spoil at room temperature for 1 or 2 months, if you want to preserve them for a more extended period, you can keep them in the fridge from half a year to a year. It is even possible to prolong their shelf life to year or year and a half by putting them into the freezer. However, it may influence their taste.
