This is Manzel specialty tool 7000-AG, Transmission External Housing Bushing Installer, for 1961-68 Lincoln with automatic transmission. THIS TOOL WILL ALLOW YOU TO REMOVE THAT BUSHING WITHOUT TAKING THE GEARBOX OUT OF THE VEHICLE!  (Note that although Manzel was defunct by 1962, Ford continued to sell this tool through their own manufacture for several more years before going obsolete in 1979.)

The tool has retained most of its original black oxide coating; some very minor powdery rust may be seen inside the bore. Both forcing screw and body thread are undamaged and the screw runs freely top to bottom. The screw head shows some wear but the tool is otherwise clean, complete as you see it and undamaged. Lightly oiled and wrapped in VCI paper to inhibit corrosion.

NOW LONG OBSOLETE, GONE FROM THE OEM CATALOG & VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND … EXCEPT HERE!

SO, buy it here & now while you still can!

Manzel started as a competitor to KR Wilson, and like Wilson, suffered when Ford began making and marketing its own tools to its dealerships. Although the company prospered for only 2 decades, their very heavily constructed & well engineered tools survive to this day.
