For transparency PLEASE READ -

I am not expert or even collector

but I bought this as a part of a job lot as with original box & Instructions it looked "very interesting"and was of obvious quality in its day.

I put a plug on it (it didn't have one)

naively fired it up (lit up straight away - beautifully)and then popped a tape inside and pressed play (which it did again - nice) turned around to look for some connectors for about 2 mins to plug it in an amp - there was a pop and some acrid smelling smoke funneling from its underneath-I panicked thinking I'd be tomorrow's newspapers (tape was still going and all lights were still lit up  etc and out electric trip switch didn't budge either - but was scarey for me!) and at that point I realised that however "interesting" it was ,this needed a competent tinkerer/armchair engineer to sort this out - I thought I'd done well putting a plug on!

Oh and chewed one my favourite tapes in half too-so its teeth are still sharp enough !!

All that for absolute transparency-So here it is -Get it going it would grace any Retro themed Man Cave because of it visually condition - But don't purchase thus unless you're confident of setting this straight before you burn the place down - a bit of advice I wished that the previous owner had told Me!!🙂👍
