The item is in Great condition from 1986-89 til now and has only light use marks on the Base of the mug where it sits. Please see photos for any further detailed inspections.

Item Description:

This Biltons Coloroll England mug is very nice to look at and has classic mug appearance, with depictions of P.White Dairyman and cows and delivery carts for milk depicted back in the early 1900s or late 1800s.

This specific mug is very Unique/Rare model of mug made by Bilton Coloroll making it rarer than most or the other Bilton Coloroll mugs ever made & only made between 1986-1989. Where in 1989 the company was liquidated and adopted the name “Staffordshire Tableware Ltd”

Here is some solid history on Biltons Coloroll England and why it’s now very collectible due to the company liquidating after only 3 years production.

Company’s history:

In 1986 the company was purchased by the home furnishings company Coloroll Ltd and became part of the Coloroll Ceramics Group. The owners of Biltons at the time were: Peter Thain Tellwright (son of Joseph Tellwright); Managing Director - Alan Yates; Sales Director - James Parker.

From 1986 to 1989 Biltons Tableware Ltd operated as part of the Coloroll Ceramics Group.

As a result of a failure to raise capital Coloroll was liquidated in 1990. There was a management buyout of Biltons and Staffordshire Potteries Ltd (another subsidiary of Coloroll Ceramics) and they jointly adopted the name Staffordshire Tableware Ltd.
