Mono 1/4" Jack to Male XLR Cable Unbalanced

With Black Outer Shell and Gold Contacts.

For use with guitars and instruments. Plug the Jack in, plug the XLR directly into the input. Because the signal level coming from a guitar is very low the input gain will always be set high and this causes the issues of noise. We have used dual screened instrument cable this helps lower noise levels, in fact most good quality guitar leads are dual screened (all ours are that we make) Many cheaper cables will not have a dual screen and will suffer from noise pickup. We also connect the XLR outer shell to the ground pin inside the XLR, this helps to reduce noise, if you do not want this connected let us know when ordering.

What is a screen? This is also known a s a shield as well. it is basically a cage that surrounds the inner cable that carries the audio signal. In this cable there are two screens, an outer spiral screen made of copper strands and the other under the outer screen made from a conductive layer. The screen in this cable has a much better coverage which reduces noise from entering into the inner conducting signal cable.

The lead is made with Neutrik connectors and Van Damme dual screened oxygen free ultra-pure copper UPOFC Instrument cable, these are extremely well known brands known for very high quality sound and robustness. The cable is silver plated within the inner single signal cable, this helps give a brighter more dynamic sound.

This lead is made using 4% silver solder using advanced soldering equipment. We have been in the industry for over 30 years and have seen many advancements in this time, we like to keep a head of the rest by giving our best.

Gold Contacts are better is regards to oxidisation. All metallic surfaces oxidise over time and they should be cleaned.

We make professional leads please see our shop for more leads.

Choose your cable colour from the drop-down menus.

Choose your cable length from the drop-down menus.

Length - Up to 1m will be visible length cable. Over 1m will be cut length. 110mm is used within the connectors. Many sellers do not make clear what you are buying, we like to be precise with our descriptions.

Typical applications for this lead:

Guitar/instrument to XLR Input of Mixer
Guitar/instrument to XLR Input of guitar amplifier
Guitar/instrument to XLR Input of Di Box
Patch - Effects pedal to XLR input

More applications can be achieved, if in doubt please ask.

Connections are made on:

Pin 2 XLR - Tip Jack
Pin 1 3 XLR linked - Sleeve Jack

This is unbalanced configuration - Outer shell is also connected to this for extra screening.

This listing is for 1 lead.
